I am continuing on the concept I ended with in my last newsletter...the solution to a divided population, and a media…only content to further that divide.
Let us start with two definitions, as understanding, knowledge, and defining terms are key to getting a clear picture.
Vigilance:
Alert Watchfulness
Wakefulness
The state or character of being vigilant; watchfulness in discovering or guarding against danger, or in providing for safety; circumspection; caution.
From The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition.
Liberty:
The condition of being free from confinement, servitude, or forced labor.
The condition of being free from oppressive restriction or control by a government or other power.
A right to engage in certain actions without control or interference by a government or other power.
From The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition.
Has our Mainstream Media done a good job at:
Representing the people?
Of doing investigative journalism?
Of creating solutions to problems that all Americans face?
Of having a healthy debate?
Of not having corrupting influences and conflict of interests?
Just watch this 10-minute video and keep those questions in mind…I doubt you’ll need to watch more than two minutes to get the point…
It is hard not to laugh as I write the above questions as they have failed so miserably for so long and have become so complicit in the damage done to all Americans, this nation and countless people/nations across the planet.
They have a job to do, or I should say the press once had a job to do but has progressively fallen apart decade by decade and has become more and more, monopolized and corrupted to the point where if you question virtually any of the narratives while working for them, you are fired. I have seen it happen with the journalists who got into that business for the right reasons but realized, by getting fired, how corrupt and compromised it truly is.
Ben Swann is what happens when a journalist truly cares about the truth. He got fired. Here’s a short bio on him, and I don’t agree with Wikipedia’s manipulative language to describe him, by using trigger words wrapped around controversial topics (nice behavioral psychology there Wikipedia) but that is the best I can find for the time being:
Benjamin Swann (born July 17, 1978) is an American television news anchor, investigative journalist, and political commentator. He became a TV sports producer, and later a news journalist and producer, and managing editor on network affiliates, FOX, and RT America of the Russian state-owned TV network RT.
Swann created a news segment called Reality Check in association with Fox 19 in Cincinnati and CBS46 in Atlanta, in which he covered "issues other media is not looking at" and uncritically presented alt-right conspiracy theories. He garnered praise for a 2012 in-person interview with President Barack Obama about the so-called "kill list" which is used to direct drone strikes against American citizens, like Anwar al-Awlaki. Swann reported on conspiracy theories about the 2012 Aurora, Colorado shooting, questioned the truth of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, presented 9/11 conspiracy theories, and the false claims of a cover-up by the CDC of data related to the MMR vaccine and autism. He has also questioned the use of chemical weapons in the Syrian Civil War, whether United States had a role in the development of the Islamic State, and other controversial topics.
In 2017, after his employer, CBS affiliate 46 in Atlanta, aired a Reality Check which presented the false Pizzagate conspiracy theory as potentially true, Swann was forced by WGCL to bring down his Truth in Media website and all of his social media. About a year later, he was fired when WGCL learned that Swann was planning to relaunch Truth in Media.
Here’s a short video, from him, about why he got fired from the news station he was working for:
The truth is, we Americans have let our media get way out of control. They have not been held accountable in any way, yet they criticize and divide us in subtle yet powerful ways. Their job was originally intended ( a loooooong time ago) to help inform us of what is going on in our local community, state, nation, and the world in regard to all aspects of life. Not saying we don't do our own research, but they were supposed to help us be properly informed.
Also, the media needed to be made up of many small journalism outlets, that way, the narrative couldn't be controlled, corrupted, and monopolized like it is today. You used to get different points of view with different interpretations and research, instead of now, where it comes from only a few sources with a pretty narrow area of what they are allowed to discuss. And when they go beyond that narrative or try to discuss topics too controversial, well, the media can’t have that…so you can say goodbye to that reporter.
It really is all out of control. Yet, with everyone focusing on all the responsibilities they already have, the job they have, the family they take care of, and everything else involved in life, taking on another job is exhaustive for most Americans to even think about, and I get that.
Once people were convinced that a two-income household was virtually a necessity, you could say goodbye to most of the self-education people did have time for. Reading books, listening to different radio shows, etc. That all lessened because the workload drastically increased.
I even saw it happen in my own family. I was an only child with two parents. My dad worked full time and my mom worked part-time when I was very young, but once I got older she went back to work full-time. It was no coincidence that's when my dad, who used to read books regularly, stopped doing that gradually till it was exclusively TV and the internet for knowledge and learning. Nothing wrong with those mediums of learning but books have a depth of knowledge that is hard to compete with unless it’s a very well-done documentary or something.
Time decreased, and the workload stayed the same.
Here’s an old article from the 80s to read about this issue whenever you get time, if you do, haha the irony…
The Perils Of A Two-Income Family
I used to do tons of research when I was younger myself too. I was having trouble finding work so I had some extra free time because I was still living at home. There was a period of time in my life when I was doing as much research as I could, while job hunting, and working out/cooking daily.
It was a full-time job in itself and it was a hard, painful process to discover how badly you've been lied to about so much and how nobody really cared or they thought you were some sort of conspiracy theorist. Regardless of the accuracy of the information. Regardless of the credentials people held. It didn't matter.
I found out that so much of what I was told or learned in my life was a mixture of lies with some truth thrown in. There was also a lot of confusion in doing this research as only a few sources were trustworthy as the corruption was very pervasive, even in “alternative” media sources.
I was angry because I didn't understand how Americans could be so easily manipulated and hand over responsibilities to the government, media, etc. when I saw the massive conflicts of interest, the corruption, and how power has greatly transferred from the people to international corporations and even other groups (such as intelligence agencies).
See this short article below on what was said by a former CIA Director and confirmed by someone else:
Then I realized, through growing up, getting my own decent enough income, moving out, and handling everything on my own as an independent adult…just how hard it was to take care of the basics, somehow stay healthy and stay up on all the piles of responsibilities I had to take care of.
Heck, it’s hard for me to even keep up with this newsletter! I am using part of my vacation to get a lot of these completed before the busy holiday season because I know I will have even less free time than I do now. But that won’t stop me. I am planning and preparing properly.
This is why people become dumbed down and manipulated so easily…
Because people are so overwhelmed with all their own day-to-day problems, they can’t handle taking on even more of them.
So this is how this newsletter was born.
People need to be empowered and believe they have authority in their own daily lives because, without that, they never will have the strength, resilience, or energy to handle these types of problems. Or even consider them.
People also need to be aware of the numerous sources trying to undermine their health, independent mind, and quality of life.
So what are the solutions to all this?
It’s simple.
First, stop trusting the media, even many alternative websites have been corrupted, although, The Pulse, which is completely funded by the people, is one of those I can honestly recommend after following them for 10 years.
Secondly, empower, strengthen and heal yourself! If you are healthy and full of energy, you can learn faster, handle stress better, think on your feet better, not be so easily manipulated, and just live all areas of life better.
Lastly, support the independent journalists/news sites out there, even with a small monthly donation. For without them, we will have no more free speech or freedom of thought. That is not fear speaking that is eternal vigilance speaking.
I am an optimist but I am also not afraid to look at the problems people face, in their daily lives, in their nation, and in the world.
There are solutions to all this. The first step is to STOP giving your power away and blindly trusting institutions.
Empower yourself. Seek out new sources of information and always, always follow the money. If people fund it from grassroots efforts, you have a good chance at honest, yet still flawed and human reporting. And that’s ok.
It is time for the people to withdraw their support from these corrupt institutions and support those who do their best at seeking the truth.
We are much more powerful than we believe. We just have to start believing that WE the people of this planet are where the power lies. Just remember it is WE who get to choose to support what thrives or dies based upon our financial support.
Great read!
